Clark remembers: Lois leaves Clark one night because after she found out about Clark's powers, her life became increasingly endangered. But after she left Clark was attacked, and he knew Lois would be next. But when he called to warn her, she thought he was just trying to convince her to come back to him. Then she saw someone, just before her car blew up. Clark doesn't make it to her in time, and she dies. after her funeral, Clark goes to Jor-el to ask him to bring her back, but Jor-el believes he can only grant half of what he wants. Jor-el lets him see Lois one more time. Even after he sees Lois Clark is depressed, and when he finds out from Chloe that Lex killed her (after finding out she wouldn't reveal anything about Clark he goes insane. he breaks into the jail Lex was just sent to and attempts to kill him, when......wait for it.....wait for it.....Lois arrives!! she stops him from killing Lex and explains why she is alive:
(memories) Clark asks jor-el to bring Lois back, little do they know, it did! but when she walks out of the grave (Lex had men dig it up to get rid of Lois's body [evidence]) she is kidnapped and almost killed again, but Chloe sees Lois being driven away (visiting her grave), and rescues her.

present: Clark, directly after Lois comes back, proposes to Lois, when she says yes, they "celebrate". but then, Clark gets a call from Lana (no Clana implied here) about a meteor shower. he has to rise up, and he saves lana, then moves to the rest of the town, while Lois looks on. but then, securing the caves, Jor-el sends a signal to Clark to come and start his training. now he has to decide between Lois, and his destiny. (I did not answer this in the AU, so that last scene was A POSSIBILITY.)
