  • oh man thats just plain wrong, pasta that hasnt been boiled retains all the starchs and gluten and that leaves it with a strong flour taste, it is even worse with the cheap pasta's.

  • 1 stick of butter!!!

  • @gayle2020 That's what I'm saying you would think they could add 3 MORE seconds to the video and show the end result...They Never do...That's why I ignore their cooking videos...LOL

  • It must be nasty. You didn't show the finished product!!!!!

  • I thought I'd give this a try as I wanted a slightly quicker preparation time for doing this in a crock pot. Even after putting in all the ingredients you can clearly see it's too dry. I've made so many perfect Mac & cheese in the crock pot, but even after an hour of checking and stirring I could tell this wasn't going to work. And by the end of the 3 hours the pasta had not cooked (About 80% still hard), & the cheese at the bottom had melted into a black sticky mess. Pasta has to be cooked 1st.

  • sometimes I think that Expertvillage tries to do things the wrong way.

  • Um. Where's the finished product??????

  • lol This guy is considered a chef? What a joke.

  • @kiwitrouthunter Absolutely right! Pasta must be cooked separately. I have a firned who makes spaghetti that way - just a pasty ness! Yuk!

  • what is liquid cheese ??

  • @mathibear don't be a dick

  • This isn't a 'chef' recipe. This is a just-moved-out-learning-to-cook kind of recipe. It isn't fussy or intimidating so that new cooks can start learning to make food from scratch without panic.
