It is sad to realize that the majority of people in this world are 'homeless'. What is even worse is that they have no clue.

Without the grace of God in our lives, we are all wonders in a strange land. Each one seeking for 'the truth' without knowing that apart from God, we are all 'Homeless'.

I sing with the song writer who penned these words:

"My home is in Heaven,

There will be no parting there... "

True NewEnglandEd - Christ has gone to prepare our mansion for us (John 14:2), but he told us to bring as many 'wonderers' with us as possible (Mark 16:15)

Maybe it would help if people actually did something to help them instead of just praying....

Why not do both?

The Salvation Army is a Christian Church and a social charity. All around the world they pray for the homeless (and everyone else in society), but they also offer practical help too! Things like emergency mobile food units, mobile first aid clinics, emergency shelters, rehabilitation, long-term care. Homeless people undoubtedly need food and shelter - but their greatest need is the Lord!

YOU could help - volunteer with them, or a similar agency

I find it amusing that people have the audacity to judge God when He sacrificed His own Son to save us! He is the only righteous judge and he takes care of the innocent after we've made them suffer.

we all need the LORD

we dont need "the lord" ... the lords (often so righteous00 helped create the problem that resulted in some many of us to be homeless. What we need is for people to grow up and treat us with respect, the way they would want to be treated when its their turn. God didn't put us on the street and God cant fix the problem. Time, persistence and some quality humanity will work just fine.

In Genesis chapter 1 God gave humainty stewardship of the earth. Homelessness and poverty is not God's fault, it's ours!! If you read the whole Bible through God is forever commanding us to do justice and to look out for the poor and oppressed, so don't blame him. He gave humanity free will - we chose not to obey him and we are now living with the consequences of that. One day, however, God will finally intervene. Heaven help those of us who are not ready for his coming!
