Washington is such a beautiful state

Thanks for the comment. I really love being outside myself since most of my work life is spent in front of a computer I needed to get some nature back into my life and so to the hills I headed. Glad you enjoyed it.

I live not far from there, walk my dog there often. You should wander upstream about 1/2 mile to Boxcar Canyon. If the river is to high you can stay S on center St about 250 yards, park, and hike in at the gate down the dirt road. It will take you to the trestle above the canyon, AWESOME, as long as you don't have an issue with heights! PS - It's wonderful living where other people camp and visit, thanks for stopping by!

I'll definitely check it out and I'm not worried about height issues so no problem there. It's always nice to get some inside scoop on a new place for me to visit so I appreciate the information. I have to also agree on how wonderful it is there. Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful video. By any chance is that river the one called "Mashell river" at "Smallwood Park"? Beautiful footage and thanks for sharing. ")

Thank you and Yes the river is the Mashell River as told to me by another commenter dawlfacex. I was not at Smallwood Park but just a little downstream from under the Bridge at Center St E which is road going out to Alder and route to Mount Rainier.
