I was making my way back from a trip up to Mount Rainier when I noticed this river just outside of Eatonville Washington when heading toward Mount Rainier. There was a nice car bridge that went over river and this made me think about fly fishing for some reason. The water was cold and clear. The sun was out today again so made filming this a treat. I hope you enjoy the white noise from the flowing river water crashing against the rocks on its journey downward. I filmed this with my Canon HV20 HD camera. Imported at 1920x1080 into iMovie08, edited then uploaded to YouTube at 640x360 size. I now have iPhone, Apple TV 2 and 960x540 (almost HD) resolution sizes on my web site at www.dwpetersen.com in the Gallery section. thank you for enjoying nature dwpetersen aka moteev

  • I live not far from there, walk my dog there often. You should wander upstream about 1/2 mile to Boxcar Canyon. If the river is to high you can stay S on center St about 250 yards, park, and hike in at the gate down the dirt road. It will take you to the trestle above the canyon, AWESOME, as long as you don't have an issue with heights! PS - It's wonderful living where other people camp and visit, thanks for stopping by!

  • I'll definitely check it out and I'm not worried about height issues so no problem there. It's always nice to get some inside scoop on a new place for me to visit so I appreciate the information. I have to also agree on how wonderful it is there. Thanks for the comment.

  • Beautiful video. By any chance is that river the one called "Mashell river" at "Smallwood Park"? Beautiful footage and thanks for sharing. ")

  • Thank you and Yes the river is the Mashell River as told to me by another commenter dawlfacex. I was not at Smallwood Park but just a little downstream from under the Bridge at Center St E which is road going out to Alder and route to Mount Rainier.

  • you should check out lynch creek its about a mile from there and its way beautiful

  • Hopefully In next week or two I'll make it out to Lynch Creek and do a video. Can't wait. Thanks for the post.
