Groundhog loader on Midwest WRX 400 quad. semi auto transmission. Material being hauled is 3/8 minus crushed gravel, so dense and heavy. the nice thing about this setup, is that you can apply downward pressure on the bucket. enough to lift the front end off the ground. I use the same setup for snow clearing and removal in the winter

The groundhog loader kit comes with braces for the front shocks and they are installed in this video. Since then, I removed the shocks and made a solid bar replacement. It is a threaded rod with a union nut at one end, and then welded to fittings that utilize the existing shock mounting bolts. this way, I can adjust the height of the front of the quad and as well, left to right adjustments so the bucket runs level and flat to the ground.

True you could. but if you already own a quad, instead of having to buy a tractor, you only have to buy the loader for a fraction of the price, and you can remove the loader when you want to go quading. the loader unit itself is about $2800.00.
