Southlands Tornado, Aurora CO - 2

This tornado touched down near Southlands Mall in Aurora, CO on 6/7/09 ~ 2PM . Taken from our front porch a few miles north of the mall.

I thought that when a tornado was about to strike, the authorities set off alarms so that everyone would know to go to their basements. I have never lived in a state that had tornadoes, that is why I say this. Were there any houses that got damage?

@spdqbr we don't get much twisters, but often we do get tornadoes out on eastern plain and we get tornado watches/warnings rarely warnings.
