I find Veronica Villarroel a beautiful earthy singer with a lovely full voice , a beautiful actress too . For my taste Manuel Lanza over plays this role , is too dramatic and butch in what is a very gentle and tender love scene ; he sings too loud as if afraid he won't be heard in the theatre , he has a fine voice and would easily be heard . I would like to see him engage more intimately in the love scene , perhaps that was a directional error .

This is a wonderful full blooded and beautiful performance by two great singers .
This is not my interpretation of the fabulous love scene . Both have wonderful voices and give a dramatic and moving performance . Thank you so much for letting me hear this !!!
