you clearly have no idea of what happened in 53. We already had a king and by Kinzers own admittance a democracy under him! Not under Mossadegh! this is where I am at odds. The oil was nationalised Under the King in 51. an the Mossadegh coup no the Shah. The Mossadegh coup did not even get a foot hold as it was quashed within 3 days and The Shah returned safely within 5.
Don't you see that the US is really coverign up the fact they helped oust the Shah in 79.

Oh please,since (Reza Chan)Pahlevi came '21 Iran was the bitch of the Britains. The iranien parlamento decided to nationalize the oil,not the Shah. And as Mossadegh got elected twice,the British and the American overthrowed him in Operation Ajax.
After that,the president couldnt start any reforms without the permission of the Shah. And the nationalization of the oil got deleted of course.
I see how "democratic" it was under the Schah and how "glad" the people were under him.
