  • is this similar to the trx420?

  • @TheDonmaster99 Yes.

  • ok, thanks, also, if i put a 2 inch lift in a stock rancher. would it make much of a difference. id use he quad for going thru thik bush, and over logs and stumps, and thru the occasional mud hole. for work. would u put a lift into a rancher for that type of work?

  • @LiamCumby Nope. It wouldn't make much difference for any of that and just make the machine more tippy and less reliable.

  • this is a test of a 2006 400AT? i have a 2004 400AT (the first year of this model), and even though i did the recall i still have issues sometimes where at low speed in automatic it puts it into too high of a gear ratio with a little load (climb a hill and it puts it in "5th gear" ratio), so i have to stop and then hear it downshift. did the 2006 not have any of these issues? could i put an ECM from a 2006 in mine and solve this problem. have brought it to my dealer and they can't solve it

  • honda matic sucks foot shift is the most reliable

  • @oscar17211 I imagine that you bought the Recon used. . .which could perhaps be the reason it was such a pile ;-)

  • @Mrdeandean100 Yes you can. I had a 99 recon and it was the worst thing i ever bought. It took forever to start and when it finally did start it wouldnt stay running, and the brakes only lasted a few days. Now i have an 87 polaris trail boss 250 that works perfectly.

  • @bukaty1 it doesnt need low range if you kick it in esp and not be in lazy auto mode its a 5 speed. plenty low range

  • @LiamCumby I really don't know used values that much. I'd look through the local ads or Cycle Trader dot Com to look at comparables.
