I always wondered why the additional lyrics live on this song from the studio version? This is so good live. They were so tight doing this era including Phil's voice. What a song.

reach out hands in the air dont care, this song ends the album. great finish to a great album ( genesis's best album )the shapes i call it. if my wife says to me wen im in the shawer what lp do u wanna listen to i always say the shapes by genesis. 1983 great year

What a beautiful song. I remember listening to this before a funeral of a (young) friend of mine, Joe Cantone. He was the same age as all of us in 1985. Listening to this helped me get through the sadness. Thank you for the post.
