This is one of my favorite songs. I apologize for popping and cracking you hear, I need a better microphone, but not enough disposable cash available for that just now.

  • Nice Borg, Awesome version!!

Very much along the lines of The Ventures version, which is one of my favorite versions.

Check out my version if you get time

It's a bit more up beat, you may like it, or not. LOL

    Check out my channel

  • @EL34XYZ Thanks, I liked your version too. I'm usually not much on distortion but you gave it an almost saxophone quality that I really enjoyed.

I'm really just an old time country picker but there are just certain old mainstream tunes that I really like.

  • Awsome

  • @SF1940s Thank you very much.

  • This version of one of my favorite tunes has been on my "favorites" list on my computer for many months now, and I often play it to give myself a real lift. Your version is so BEAUTIFULLY done -- to me, the understated richness of your guitar's soulful voice and technique is simply GORGEOUS and I'm hooked! It sure would be nice to see you upload more of your work!

  • @TheSugarsinger Thank you, I'm pleased that you like it!

  • @borgrif

I play alot of clean surfish stuff also

Check out my version of Theme from Midnight cowboy I uploaded a few days ago.

No distortion on that one, just tube amp reverb and vibrato

Going to go have a listen to some of your stuff also.

  • Thank you very much. It really is a great song.

  • My compliments to the chef - you've got this tune nailed perfectly with a lot of feeling and finesse.

I'm working away at it right now on my Hammond clone (organ) from a jazz fakebook, with all those beautiful 9ths and minor 6ths. This tune has got a very special soul with a fragrance of a special time. The more I get into the Harlem Nocturne, the more I love it.

  • I'm sorry Tico but I play strictly by ear. I do not know how to read music or tabs. I am glad you enjoyed my rendition of the song however. It is one of my favorites.
