Now that was the NBA at its prime. Now we have alot of good young guys, but most of them are young punks who think they know it all already.

so crazy how people walk away when they are at the top of their game.. Barry Sanders did it, and so did Michael Jordan. I know Barry did it because he was sick of losing. But, I don't know why Jordan quit... they still had a great team, was it because they were ageing? And he thought his legacy would get worse? i dont know. He's still the GOAT and always will be

Bulls management had a tough decision coming up. Do the Bulls endure a slow, painful decline sometime in the future or rebuild and restock right away? By choosing the latter by not renewing the contracts of Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson, General Manager Jerry Krause made one of the few major mistakes of his career. Michael Jordan did not want the core to be torn down and have a new team built around himself alone. He appreciated what Pippen and Phil Jackson had done and wanted them to stay.
