  • She is soooooooooooo gorgeous!! OMG!! :D WOW is the only thing I have to say, just WOW!!! :D

  • It seems that she gets behind the bit a little at some points...but if you get that under control she looks great!

  • I agree with horslevrshadow she needs to be encouraged lower stretching. Nice mare with great engaging movement. I have two of these crosses, so love to see others. Good luck with her!

  • What trailer accident?

  • wonderful mare and rider! Only thing I would say is that being in a frame does not mean she's "coming through" work on having a longer lower and stretching outward frame before asking for a more upright frame. cool vid!

  • I wrote my comment a while back. Interesting responses since. Western - the old style, was nothing like dressage. It has been incorporated into western training allot since it was introduced here post WW2. I am in my fifties so i know. The western of now is an amalgamation of many styles with western tack.

  • Thank you Artsy, she just started her training a week ago and all goes well, and thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you about the comment "when I was your age"...........I'm 45 so THANKS again hahahaha

  • Oh Thompa, thank you for the compliment and yours is fantastic, nice and steady and Polly was a little bit more exited at her first show. The Friesian crosses are very versitile, we have a Friesian Stallion and breed the QH, Thoroughbred and Arabian crosses with him and they are all unbelievable. I know nothing about Western, we moved from Holland to Canada 10 years ago but would love to try

  • ...Not speaking about you, but many strict dressage people that I know are close minded to western completely and pass judgment. I think if they got to know the top western riders they would find it's not that bad. When that happens I believe dressage will spread even further and faster.

  • Just commenting on your dressage statement. I ride "western" and dressage and many dressage people don't know that proper western riding is very similar to dressage, esp. in training. My Friesian X does dressage and reining and loves it.
