VHS 1980's Mistral Promo of the Take Off Board - I learnt how to do everything on this board. Note Robby sailing with no harness. The board was 3.10m long and the sail was a 5.7m (loved the colors) and boom length was 2.60m! The two fins popped out when you land on them for safety and the angle of them could be adjusted. The sailing in the video is filmed in Kailua Bay i think and then Diamond Head. What great days - Thanks Robby !

  • Thank God for the harness. Hard to imagine sailing without one.

  • Robby became an Icon in whatever the disciplin...Respect! I watched this video over and over again in my early windsurf-day's. started 1976, bought my fist board, a dufour-wing in 1979 and built my own in '83. We didn't realise that day's that we're all making backrolls & forwards a few years later, and if I see the tricks of today, its far beyond imagination !!!
