Highlights of my stay in Singapore. Lots of things to see and do in this tiny multi-cultural city state just north of the equator. Singapore is definitely one of the best places in Asia.

  • @runekai250 Untill changes are made or the government is abolished Singapore's international reputation continues to suffer. It is still that of the bizarre little place in Asia and still known as 'Disneyland with the deaath penalty.' It doesn't have to be this way. When there is no respect for the rights of human beings, when people have been stripped of their liberty and freedom by a tyrannical government, there can be no respect for those that rule them; only contempt.

  • @runekai250 I am sick of Singaporeans trying to compare one city of thousands to billions in a place the size of America. Don't get me started on the US for I have a lot to say on their videos as well. Singapore remains a police state as it currently is with no freedom of speech, no free press, no right of assembly, no jury trials, government propaganda and censorship, and the draconian and archaic laws, as well as the barbaric penaltys. It is time to become a free civilized nation.

  • @runekai250 Capital punishment is not "unique" but in Singapore executions are mandatory without mitigating circumstances for even Non-violent offences-- not only for murder. Sentencing even teenagers to death for possessing a quantitiy of drugs, is grissly outrageous and barbaric. Persecuted author, journalist, and hero Alan Shadrake helped shed light on the horrific blight of Singapore. Trying to justify extinguishing human life because it's too costly to imprison is --sub-human.

  • @runekai250 Singapore's Legalized brutality is condemned by all global human rights groups as crimes against humanity. It is against all UN conventions on torture and all international practices and norms agreed upon as illegal by the majority of UN member nations and first world civilized countries on this earth. These acts are violent barbaric physical assaults against human beings and twisted justice. It is time to stop violence and hold those accountable for their inhuman deeds

  • @runekai250 Flogging in Singapore serves as nothing except the discriminatory unjust, uncivilized, violent acts of males that it is. Even trivial offences (immigration, vandalism, white collar crimes etc ) result in court ordered cruelty. Yes this is sickeningly "commonplace." Boys are brutalzed throughout school and violence is judicially legalized by a barbaric government. Rather than culture, it is all part of an outdated tradition of sadistic cult-like violence and extremism

  • @runekai250 I know that most citizens, like you, "don't have (any) no idea what is going on in prison." Outside of prison, most have turned away from this shameful and extreme physical violence that is allowed. The majority of the civilized world knows this as Torture, and there are only a few third world places on earth where this judicial barbarity is allowed. Singaporeans are brainwashed to believing uncivilized brutal violence is somehow "normal." Nothing is "normal" about this.

  • @runekai250 There much flaws in the Singapore state. But let me tell you, every nation has equally or more flaws than Singapore. Its no use comparing which countries sucks. America -- screwed up political system whereby Republicans against Democrats. China--- no regards for human rights (your other asian destinations right?). EU-- in a total debt crisis.

The list is endless... have fun :D be glad to talk to you again.

  • @runekai250 Adding on.. to saying we are controlled. I agree we are a police state. However, i would tell you. The police abuses occured as a result in the past to forcefully get rid of Communism in Singapore (racial riots). That was Singapore's turbulent moments as a nation. However, as of today, there aint police abuses. Our society is slowly moving away from a police state. Though America police are much more abusive than the Singapore ones (freedom right?).

  • @runekai250 furthermore, going on with the death sentence. Death sentence is not unique in Singapore. To note, many countries have Death Sentences. Also if you are unaware, statically speaking its more expensive to send someone to the gallows than keep them for life imprisonment. Yes, i know the US has recently stopped it but it still doesn't change the fact for the need of Capital Punishment. Its only in the extreme cases whereby death sentence occurs (mainly in Murder and Drugs)

  • @runekai250 Carrying on.. the canning serves a warning and also as a deterrent for going against the law. However, it should be noted that not every single crime results in caning and that only major offences are considered worth caning. Furthemore, caning is common practice in the Singapore society. It has been around since they were kindergarden to junior colleges.

You may find it barbaric and call us uncivilised. But thats the way cultures are. Different countries-- different culture
