I used to play this song on record and ask my friends "so do you like this?" they'd respond "yes" and I'd reply "okay, cause I'ts called 'I'm a mindless idiot' "

Meat Puppets story: I saw them in '91 in Montreal. before the show, went outside to smoke a joint and shared it with a couple of long-haired Americans, who said they had been anal-cavity-searched on crossing the border into Canada, on account of their looks. They were VERY happy to smoke some of that weed. I got a beer and then the show started...and the longhairs turned out to be the brothers Kirkwood.
They played a technically perfect high-energy show. if you havn't seen them...see them
