Dear Ms. Walker - this is a good video, please ignore those harsh comments. I'd like to inform you that the content of this video, although basic, is wonderful. I'm a university biology student and I needed to see this visually - visual's often aid in learning. For this, I thank you for putting effort into making a video. Are you not confusing active transport with xylem transport?
Strasburger's work was with xylem transport I believe while active transport as I understand it involves the movement of materials against a concentration gradient (i.e., from lower to higher concentration) and; therefore, requires energy.

diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of high concentrationn to regions of lower concentration. osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane. active transport?
