Ok so I was born with club foot and it was treated in my first year. Now I have been active for 22 years even joining the Marine Corps and have not had any real problems..however in the last year or so I have noticed a serious muscular imbalance in my legs and come to think of it crappy balance on the side where the affected foot is. I have a lot of issues when performing olympic lifts because my bad foot won't stay flat on the ground...anybody have a similar issue?
as well i did umm i had club foot all my life iwas born with it i had multiple surgerys it is now better i can run climb jump and do everything they told me i would NEVER be able to do but i looked passed it my toes still crook sideways to but they're not all bent like tht but they were when i was born but they're better now but when i run it kinda turns and i run weird lol but i think its a miracle how well im doing on my age
I was born with club feet, 16 years ago in Lviv Ukraine. Unfortunately i have only received partial surgery for my feet and they are still a bit abnormally bent. it doesnt affect me a lot but since i play soccer, my feet tend to wiggle, especially my left one. I'm still grateful that I can walk like everyone else.
I had surgery for it when I was an infant as well. That's wonderful that you're in ballet! I'm a theatre kid and I can't really do ballet... but I don't blame my foot for my inability to dance as much as my lack of natural coordination xD
my son will be 3 next month and was born with bilateral club feet. He went through serial casting when he was 2 weeks old, surgery following, casting and surgery a year later and all the while he wears the mitchell brace. in december he will go through another casting and surgery, this time a muscle tranfer but only on his left leg. his doctor said his right leg looks like a "normal foot", has anyone had the muscle transfer or know any details about it???
i was born with it too! and got surgery the first year of my life i take part in ballet and have been in professional plays like nutcraker and romeo and juliet for ballet! i just wobble a little when i walk but the doctors had to cut my tendon! finally i have something to relate to with my problem and am lucky everybody understands! please reply!
i have club foot and got surgery in the first year of my life too. everything is fine now apart from limited movement in my feet and a slight wobble when i walk and now take part in snowboarding and rock climbing and many other sports but what i would really like to know is that is this a genetic ? and if so what are the chances of passing it on to any potential kids.
