Barno Iskhakova (1927-2001) Tajik Shashmaqom Величайшая, Барно Исхакова

Uploaded in honor of the 10th anniversary of Barno (Bakhmal) bat Rokhel and Berakh Iskhakova-Badalbayeva (7 September, 2001/20 Elul 5761)

Bukharian Jewish Singer and People's Artist of Tajikistan, as well as the winner of the State Prize of Rudaki, BARNO (BAKHMAL) ISKHAKOVA, sings three separate traditional Shashmaqom tunes in Tajik called SHAHNOZI GULYOR (lyrics by Persian poet Bedil), NASRI USHSHOQ (lyrics by Persian poet, Hofiz or Hafez), and SINAKHURUSH (with lyrics by Persian poet QOONI or QAANI). These songs were among the most famous of her Shashmaqom repertoire and made her the most famous female Shashmaqom performer in the history of Tajikistan and all of the Soviet Union. She was very famous for her rendition of traditional Shashmaqom (a type Central Asian Music) songs in Tajik and Uzbek, Russian, as well as her mother tongue of Bukhori (Judeo-Tajik Language). Even though Barno is no longer alive, her voice and spirit remains alive among the hearts of millions of fans throughout Central Asia, Israel, and the United States as well as other countries around the world.

В честь 10-летия со дня кончины величайшой певицы Барно (Бахмал) бат Рохел ве Берах Исхакова-Бадалбаева - скончилась 7 сентября 2001 г/20 Элул 5761.

Бухарско-еврейская певица, лауреат Государственного Премии Им. Рудаки (Таджикской ССР), Лауреат Ордена Трудового Красного Знамени, Заслуженная артистка Таджикской ССР а так же НАРОДНАЯ АРТИСТКА ТАДЖИКСКОЙ ССР, БАРНО (БАХМАЛ) ИСХАКОВА поет 3 песни народному музыку и Шашмакому - ШАХНОЗИ ГУЛЁР (стихи поэта Хафеза), НАСРИ УШШОК (стихи персидского поэта Хафеза), и СИНАХУРУШ (стихи поэта персидского - КООНИ) на таджикском языке. Она была солисткой Таджикской Филармонии и пела на Государственном Телерадио Таджикской ССР. Люди ее знают как одна из самых любимых и великих певицой в Таджикистане, в Средней Азии, и в СССР а так же самая великая и знаменитая исполнительница таджикского Шашмаком среди женщин во всю историю Средней Азии. Она была известной как "Соловей Таджикистана" и "Левича среди женщин" (Левича Бабаханов был известным бухарско-еврейском певцом и знатоком Шашмакома у последних Эмиров Бухары до Октябрской Революции). Она пела на таджикском, узбекском, и русском языках а так же на своем родном языке, Бухарско-еврейский язык. Не смотря что она уже больше не жива, ну ее голос и душа продолжают жить в сердцах миллионов ее поклонники в Средней Азии, Бывшем СССР, Израиле, США и другие стран во всем мире.

@robdav78 Thanks! But unfortunately I don't have any videos of her with Avrom. I believe there are a few online already or at his website. I have mostly older Shashmaqom and classical songs from her and other great singers like Shoista and Iskhak Katayev and Ezro Malakov. Mostly music and some videos. I'm glad you've been enjoying my videos! Thanks for watching. Btw, I prefer the older more classical Shashmaqom and Tajik and Uzbek music from the Soviet Times and before than the moden stuff...
