Kind of a cheesy victory with all the topples and chains, but there's really not any other way to do it at this level without using Sharla, which I was trying to avoid.

Party setup is actually nothing special. You need Debuff Resist VI (100%) for this fight to block the blaze damage and instant death spike. Divine Protect works, but you're going to struggle with the blaze damage.

As with anything else, as much agility as possible never hurts.

Night Vision is hugely beneficial for higher level enemies, VI gems would honestly be the best choice but I didn't grind Ancient Daedala for them.

Haste and Double Attack are, of course, excellent offensive gems (especially combined with some skills). They can really help build up the party gauge for quicker chain attacks.

Maxing Shulk's fifth skill tree is incredibly useful since you can use Monado arts at will, since it automatically fills the Talent gauge when you get a vision. Dunban's can also be extremely useful since it can give you a full party gauge just by activating an aura. That can mean repeated chain attacks, non-stop, but I didn't quite have the SP for that yet.

You want Monado Armor maxed out (mainly for the flame attack, but also for the tail sweep topple since it's AoE, just stay out of it's range so you can assist the AI when they fall), and need Shield maxed for the talent art. Speed is whatever, use it for Play Bite, levels just increase the time so I still had it at level 1.

You also want to make use of Purge to avoid the Crazed aura. If it activates you're probably screwed since he tends to resist Purge, and the agility, haste, and strength bonuses will mess you up fast. Crazed always activates at half HP, so use Purge as that's approaching. After that it can be used at random, so when you have a full Talent Gauge on Shulk and no vision, use it.

The slobos can and will mess your fight up. Even though you start the fight in a relatively safe location, Abaasy will cause you to move around quite a bit. Watch your AoE arts and try to make sure you're not straying too close to them. When Abaasy uses the Talent Art, it's a good opportunity to run away from the slobos since you're party is going to move anyway and follow him as he uses the attack.
