Salina Charity Horse Show October 2010

Well - Here it is, my first You Tube upload. This was also the first time I have seen myself riding Midas on video. Not hard to see why he placed 6th in this class! I am a timid rider on a good day and it looks like I am making him a timid mover. We've got another show coming up in a couple of weeks and I am going to let go of his face and move him out. Stay tuned... Please forgive the videography - I handed the camera off to a friend as I went in the ring.

Thanks so much for watching and for commenting! You are right - I don't think I rode a single corner the whole class! Shame on me & I didn't even realize I was doing it. I will definitely pay more attention next time! I shudder every time I look at his braids in this class. I only had 45 minutes before this class and I put them in with rubber bands. Usually, I sew them in and there are more of them - but thanks for your kind comments :o)

I agree with your assessment of your performance however, you did have a good consistent ride and that says a lot :) One thing I noticed that may help your placings is that you did not use the arena as well as some of the other riders (ie you cut corners sometimes) That is something I did as well. Overall I thought you looked good and you did a nice job on your horse's mane. Hope you can go to the show again this year.
