  • If I hasn't read the heading closely enough, I would have thought that these fine performers were Slave itself. SUPERB COVER - wish I could have been there to see it firsthand (Mind you, you guys are superb in your own right, to be sure)!

  • @aspiringandinspiring Thank you for the very kind words. You are inspiring

  • Yeah there were 10 people on stage that day I wish we had 2 more horns playing.

  • Like the other comment said... u sound just like them

  • Awesome cover!!!!!!! WOW a big production like the original group! I wish I was there also. Do you guys ever play in ths Los Angeles area?

  • Started to comment about 30 secs into video then decided to wait it out. Great job on "covering" this song. My band is not a cover band, originals only, except when we get a crowd dancing like crazy then they wanna throw out song titles for us to play, Slide is one of the few that we do. James Brown is the only other cat we cover on occassion. Guess I will subscribe. Check us out and I promise more videos soon. The Funkanauts.

  • Wow really tight, i like the bassline by "Adam Marks"...

  • It's not fair...I want to be a Old School Funk band. You guys are playing all the songs I want to do. Keep up the good work and post other shows.

  • SD...just listening to this performance alone...brings me back to Madison Square Garden in the summer of 1977 when Slave opened for the Isley Brothers and they absolutely KICKED ASS!!!

Fast forward to 2009...you and the band THREW down. Have mercy!!! Hell, Imma be honest. I've seen/heard some of the performances from the SLAVE spin-off groups....two words: absolutely horrible.....
