In this April 2009 interview, composer Peter Bannister revealed insights on the creation of his oratorio "Et iterum venturus est", a work commissioned by Soli Deo Gloria and written in memory of Olivier Messiaen.

The title of Bannister's piece, "Et iterum venturus est", is taken from the Nicene Creed, and is translated, "And he shall come again". The work dually focuses on the Advent and Second Coming of Christ. "Et iterum venturus est" received its world premiere performance on the eve of Messiaens 100 birthday anniversary, in the final concert of the centenary cycle at Messiaen's own Paris church of La Trinité. * For info on the commissioning of "Et iterum venturus est", including introductory comments from the composer, visit http://sdgmusic.org/news/?cat=17 * For photos, videos and reports on the project from Soli Deo Gloria CEO, Chandler Branch, visit http://sdgmusic.org/directorsblog/?cat=24 * For info on composer Peter Bannister, visit http://www.peterjohnbannister.com
