I like Jon fine, but I never understood why he was chosen so often for the Super Match. Especially since he hardly ever had the 3O.

@patrickballoonman You'll have better luck seeing his 1970s show "Sha Na Na" than this poor revival of two of the greatest game shows ever. Don't get me wrong (although I've never met Jon "Bowzer" Bauman), even though he graduated from the Julliard School of Music and Columbia University, being a game show host was not his best job. I would have rather seen Jon's Bowzer persona host the show (with leather jacket and duck-tail haircut) than the preppy look he chose. Anyway, "Grease for Peace".

Too bad that can't change now that he has passed on. Other then the full episodes that were on here. I really haven't seen mcuh of this show at all. It was made a few years before I was born. (86)

I met Jon Bauman (aka Bowzer of Sha Na Na) at the New York State Fair one night, and as he autographed a photo for me, saying that's it's "Gonna make me happy," I replied, saying another thing that would make me happy would be if GSN added MGHSH to its line-up. All Jon said was, "We'll see."
