Ian Whitcomb and Harry Warren sing his 1923 song "Home in Pasadena" at his home in Southern California in 1972. Warren's number of hit songs are too numerous to list, but they include "42nd Street" and "Lullaby of Broadway" which he wrote with lyricist Al Dubin for Busby Berkeley musicals. Later, two of his great songs were "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo." Courtesy of Ian Whitcomb.
One of the all-time great and most prolific writers of American popular music and, yes, he did sing quite nicely.

Historic meeting with a man who wrote the soundtrack to the 1930s and 40s. Sad that his name is not really remembered. Some very cool stuff. If you dont know it, look for "Chattanooga Choo Choo" on the 'Tube. You will like it! And cheers to Ian W--a real scholar of popular music
