I always give away some of my spare change when I go downtown Kamloops, just as long as I keep bus money. Last month I gave almost all my money to a man who had to put his daughter in a shelter for the night, she was 13! I always give money to the one legged man who plays guitar on the street. I was told that these poor people buy boose (in your case it was a treat) and drugs, but I still do. It was nice to see it on the receiver's point of vue.

i've had to panhandle a few times in extreme circumstances, but i never referred to it as "making money". when youre spanging you arent making shit, youre just collecting money based on the generosity of others. you should always be looking for ways to make your own money, and when you have the means you should help others who don't. pay forward the generosity you are shown when you're in low places

I don't know you situation but beggin for change when you actually have a place to stay (indoors) is really lame.

People live this way cuz they choose to. They don't want to "fit in" with society and thats fine.
