@OlegTakumi There is nothing in japanese jujutsu that is not in karate, you might even say there is nothing in karate that is not in japanese jujutsu. There is a reason almost every movement uses hikite, the "differences" are only prominent because of technique emphasis, not because they are different.
Technical application is not biased like people, what works in japan works on okinawa, korea, china, okinawa, etc... It's all the same, just different emphasis.

"Goju Ryu" is Japanese for 'hard-soft style'. When applied to Jiu-Jitsu, it becomes Goju Ryu Jiu-Jitsu, or The Hard-Soft style of Jiu-Jitsu. This can also be applied to Karate, thus becoming Goju Ryu Karate. I only ask because I took this style of Jiujitsu so many years ago (more than ten) and it looks a lot like it. I haven't heard anything more about it since so long ago and was wondering where it has appeared in the world. Thanks.

@GuamKomudo it's a language spoken in the fictional Star Trek universe.
FYI, my previous comment was meant to be a joke. It was not meant to demean the Russian people or their language, even though is seems that my attempt at humor was taken in the wrong context.
Goju-ryu, a style of Okinawan karate. Ju-Jutsu - the name for the schools of Japanese martial systems (using the battle empty-handed.) Ju-jutsu is not karate, karate is not jiu-jitsu. it's different systems, but they can have general principles.
