You only get in trouble,in tamburello if you have mechanical problems/failures of the car.

There was more cameras covering the qualification, especially around the corner where Senna crashed, how come we don't see but one angle from the crash and hardly another angle from Shumacher's car!
Something is hidden in Senna's death.

@grteyr I agree if u play it on PC it is a full throttle lefthand curve with no big deal at all actually - my guess today is he either had a slight puncture on rear tire or part of suspension broke ! I never went for the story of the broken steering-colomn - it did brake yes - but due to the impact. They would have never melded it that bad! I'm sure Williams knows excactly what happened - but they will never tell, maybe... R.I.P. best of the best!

@Metallicakicksbutt Yes, they were all due to mechanical failures. Berger's front wing broke, Patrese and Piquet's had rear tire punctures, Barrichello never went off at Tamburello. As for Alboreto, I don't know the reason for his off, but he himself said you can only go off at this corner if you had a mechanical failure. This is because the corner requires no skill, you just keep your foot down and barely turn the steering. The corner was seen as dangerous because the wall was too close.

So Berger in 1989, Alboreto in 1991, Patrese in 1992, Barrichello in 1994 all had "mechanical problems"??
BS. Every driver complained that the Tamburello corner was very dangerous. They complained when they started racing on it in the early 80's.
So many accidents in Imola, and Ratzenberger died in the practice the same weekend. Barrichello was lucky to survive.

@xgrod Yeah! i think alike. If you see Nicola Larinni qualifying onboard 1994, you can feel the tremendous pot hole on tamburello. Thats the exact point where the williams got uncontrollable. You know, a mechanical failure was the problem, nothing more...it is hard to believe that senna didnt stop the car, im sure he knew his wheel wasnt working properly...San Marino Grand Prix was a really tough moment for Senna i think.

Formula 1 miss you Ayrton

The thing that sticks in my mind is, during these qualifing laps, the car is at it's lowest, repeatedly going through Tamburello with no problems. Senna's last race lap was 3rd quickest after the race was completed. I believe the steering column broke that caused his fatal crash,. I dont believe that Williams should be put on trial for manslaughter though..

I did not watch the race in 1994, but i saw some documentaries about Senna and the crash. I`m sure the car had a technical problem as it ran straight on and into the wall instead of steering into the Tamburello turn. Two weeks ago, Sutil`s crash in Silverstone remembered me a bit on Senna`s crash, as Sutil`s car also did not behave normally and ran into the wall. Thank goodness, Sutil was not injured in the crash, but there were some associations in my mind....

right on budd!!! ....i'm surely gonna check those out....been watchin' f1 since 1969...i never got to see the race, thnx man...
Actually Hill stated later that the handling on the FW16 was particularly bad on the slow corners, especially in the early part of the season.
Thanks for posting something of Ayrton at Imola that wasn't his accident!

Thanks :-)
I like to remember drivers when they were still alive and not with posting any vids from a deathcrash. I have the crash from Ratzenberger also on tape, but i hate it always when people get killed and it's caught on tape....and then post it on the internet. Senna was a special driver and he should be remembered like this.

3.03 : Senna spins in Tosa, which is slow chicane. In slow chicane, the aerodynamic was not playing a big part. This shows that the Williams having a very loose rear end which contribute to unpredictable handling.

Sorry but that is not true. Schumacher spinned also on the exact same spot as Senna earlier or later then him during the same qualifying.
