  • @soxbearshwks Jan and Dean did an uptempo version of this

  • why don't you answer your listeners/viewers' questions? I was named after this record (Buddy Clark, 1946), guess that's what gave me a music business start ... and then ask if anyone knows whom the lady is who calls him "fresh"!

  • Really great version of this - Kind of like hearing the Drifters do White Christmas for the first time since I'm so used to the Buddy Clark version. Sweet! Thanks for posting!!

  • Jan and Dean did a version of this song in I think 1964 or 1965?

  • sometime in the early 60s someone remade this with an upbeat tempo,

    can't remember who...anyone know?

    anyone have it to post?

  • Yes, it feels very 1940s. I like it.

  • OH how interested, Linda Eastman! WOW! When that song came out in the early 60's, my father proudly told me it was a song from "his era"!! Little does he know who Linda was!!

  • Great Tune! truly enjoyed it

  • Written 1946 by Jack Lawrence about "Linda" Eastman, the 5-year-old daughter of his attorney. She later married Paul McCartney and sadly died young.
