This is a review of Smith & Wesson's new M&P22. It provides a way for owners of its 9mm & .40 caliber big brothers to train with a virtually identical gun chambered in .22lr.

  • i just bought me one of these about 10 days ago and i am loving it so far. i have about 350 rounds through it with no malfunctions at all. i have mainly used Rem. Golden Value Pack 36 grain 1280 FPS ammo. do you think the FPS will have a major effect on accuracy? i was told it might be better to use sub sonic with the short barrel. i was shooting to the left with mine at about 40'. look forward to more videos.

  • @megajeeplover - it could have an impact on POI but once you settle on a round that you will shoot most often, you simply adjust the sights appropriately.

  • Nice review, thanks for doing such a concise overview. I bought one of these but haven't shot mine yet.

  • @mag318 - thanks for watching! I've shot it a bunch more, it's a real shooter and a lot of fun to send rounds downrange with it, I'm sure you will enjoy your new purchase...

  • Thanks for the review Jeff. I'm really considering picking up a .22LR pistol and i like this one over the P22 or the sig, and am undecided about the ruger... I'd like a PMR-30, but the jury on that is still out for me

  • @BuffmanLT1 - so far so good with the M&P22, I think I'm going to really enjoy playing with this one. As far as the PMR-30 goes, I'm still fighting with mine after it's been repaired. I think Kel-Tec still has a bunch-o-bugs to work out on this one...

  • thanks for the part number I have been looking for the 12rd mags for a while

  • @AmendmentNo2 thanks man for the reply. i guess i need to pick me out a good brand for this gun. thanks again.

  • nice work. i want one!

  • I don't understand the one magazine when purchasing a handgun. Even two is pushing it. 3 magazines should be standard equipment for all new handgun purchases :)
