  • what's the deal with turbine?

do you need additional rating to fly it?

what is the maintenance requirement and cost?

  • i love it, but wish it had 6 seats. that would have made it just THAT much better and THAT much more flexible. and it probly would outdo the meridian

  • Epic doesnt exist anymore due to bankruptcy caused by mismanagement. Pity, they were such nice planes.

  • Very nice machine. I only fly high altitude IFR to get anywhere. Would love to be able to afford it.

  • only thing a turbine is good for on the lancair is high alt ifr flight. but the costs is astronomical and a very short range of under 1,000 nm, which makes no sense really to even fly high alt ifr. looks nice and all, just not my cup of tea.

  • I don't see why they are going turbine. People can't afford/aren't rated to fly these things. If you are going to spend $250k on a turn you mind as well go look at Epic's Escape. It will do 365knt's cruise. They just entered a very small and competitive market. Should have stayed piston.

  • why use a PT6 when you can use a walter that costs about 20000 US to OH from diemech and theres really no hot section inspection (just a borescope check). Bit wierd to me.

  • 4:23 - "The kit is $250,000..."

On their website, its offered at like $143,000...what gives?

  • about 25 minutes

  • How long will it take to fly from Los Angeles to Vegas in one of those?
