Hi I have 2009 model of Mac Pro and I was told my Apple today that I can not upgrade my gt 120 to the HD 5870 bc it would not be compatible... Have you upgrade to lion and is everything working??
-
thanks for the reaction...i have to read/hear/ look better next time.you say so in your video.it was a mac pro early 2009.
-
it was a mac pro early 2009.
but I went crazy because nobody in the apple store knows about installing a video card.or the power cables that I have to use. unbelievable. the say to me ''we don't sell so many mac pro's'' and now i see in your other video you install you gtx 285 and you point out the two mini 6 pin on your motherboard. i was happy to see that because i bought gtx 570 and that don't fit in a mac pro 2009. i had to bring him back. thanks again greetings from holland.

probably will fit the macbook air!

i find the ati 6 series a beast :D
do you have both the gt 120 and the 5870 installed in the mac pro at the same time? (allowing 4 monitors?)
because i read: "Note: The radeon HD 5870 card requires Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later and it requires the use of both auxiliary power connections."
