New Okuma Cedros high-speed baitcast reels deliver premium strength, performance and corrosion-resistance for inshore saltwater fishing. At 8.4-ounces, you'll immediately notice the Cedros is no lightweight; aluminum frame, side plates and spool combine with heavy-duty Dura Brass gears for a rock-solid foundation. In the hand, however, Cedros is effortless. Seven stainless steel bearings, including ABEC-5 spool bearings turn loose incredible casting a fluid retrieves. A full Carbonite drag system delivers 14-pounds of smooth drag pressure. Featuring titanium coating for strength and enhanced corrosion resistance, along with Okuma's Corrossion Resistant Coating process throughout, Cedros is backed by an industry-leading 3-year manufacturer warranty and available in both right and left-hand retrieve.

For the ultimate rod and reel combination, pair the Cedros low-profile with Okuma fast-action Cedros Coastal fishing rods.

Can you use the cedros rod for freshwater bass or is the rod to big?

The Okuma Cedros Inshore rods are designed for inshore, so they are slightly beefier than freshwater bass rods, but some of the actions could cross over depending on the specs and what application they are used for. Thanks Deven.

Have you thought about making a big game low profile reel?
