A new video I knocked out last night, Not my best but just testing the HDR rendering settings in X-Plane and scenery testing. There are a few clicks and stutters in this video as I was tweaking rendering settings..Not quite there yet but I feel I'm getting close. Thanks for watching.

  • Hello! I have a very important question. I can't figure out how to get the graphic look this good. In X-Plane evrything get's sort of bad graphics though the framerate is good. I run X-Plane on a Intel Core 2 Duo 2,4GHz processor, 8GB 1066MHz RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB graphic card. Any suggestions to make it look better? Currently I am sort of dissapointed with buying X-Plane, but I would be really happy if you could help! Thanks!

  • @SplashJuze Your not going to like reading this but you may want to upgrade your GPU and CPU.The CPU you may get by for a little while but XP10 is set up to be optimized on a quad core.Your video card should if at all possible be a 1 gb card. They are getting cheaper all the time.In the past if you were running FSX, that was all CPU.X-Plane is about 60% or slightly more GPU and 35 to 40% CPU.This scenery is a converted FSX but only the airport.Set rendering low and work up and upgrade your card.

  • @SplashJuze I ran out of room in the last reply.Like I said start with the minimums in rendering and work up.Turn off HDR rendering and clouds.Go easy on water textures. Pull back a little on airport objects if you have them set to high or max.Pull back on sight distance, that will kill. Once these are turned down start to slowly tweak your graphics up a notch at a time until your happy. It really will take a vid card upgrade to help with these kinds of issues.8gb 1600 ram is more than enough.

  • got any shots of kelowna or abbotsford airport...chilliwack? I might have to jump up to this newer version and leave fsx in its vapour trails~!

  • @ellonysman No I don't..This one didn't convert very well. X-Plane's new autogen on houses, forrests, etc wasn't too friendly with this scenery. Put houses where they're not in FSX ha ha. Hey FSX is cool to for some reasons just like X-Plane. I'll admit I was a little bummed when I saw Flight. Come on over to the other side if you ever want to. Theres a ton of recourses if you need them.

  • The trees and homes look 5000% better than FSX

  • @WakeUpDummies Yes they do !

  • @green823jade Well in all fairness this is converted scenery but just the airport and close by buildings. 99.99% of it is X-Plane. If you notice when the plane is flying over that large factory you will see X-Planes auto gen houses where they most like;ly would not be in real life. Like in the door of the factory. X-Plane can't properyl deal with all converted scenery yet. But the scenery X-Plane 10 does use as default is miles past 9. Thanks !

  • Wow it looks so impressive, the scenery development has come a long way since 9.
