The themes of all ten ixupi in the game Shivers made due to request.

The individual themes end with the sound effects of that particular Ixupi, but some of the themes are the same. E.g The Crystal and the Water Ixupi themes. I beleive this is something to do with the room they are in, rather than what the Ixupi's element is.

Sorry about the shoddiness of the crystal ixupi's picture; He doesn't pose well xD

In case you didn't know which Ixupi was which in this video:

0:05 is the Ash Ixupi
0:35 is the Cloth Ixupi
1:00 is the Crystal Ixupi
1:30 is the Electric Ixupi
2:15 is the Metal Ixupi
2:52 is the Earth Ixupi
3:35 is the Tar Ixupi
4:02 is the Water Ixupi
4:35 is the Wax Ixupi
And 5:20 is the Wood Ixupi

If you enjoyed this, I strongly suggest you check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCQ4t6yTHt4

  • Electricity just winked at us.. o.O

  • @Leveena Yeah. I added that for all of them. nice to know someone noticed :3

  • @Twilight0kami

Haha, well, I noticed all of them blinked and all, but Electricity only blinked one eye, therefore, he's flirty, yes? =P

  • @Leveena Oh yes. He's quite the flirt. ;D

  • Ash Ixupi: "I'm Batman!"

To this day, the Cloth Ixupi still makes me uneasy...even as a cartoon. >.>

  • @saagenta Yeah, I always found the Cloth Ixupi particularly sinister.

  • Hey I've always wondered, Each ixupi was first captured into each vessel by an element, How did the original zapana tribe contain an electricity element. In fact how did they even know what electricity was.

  • I can confirm that the music is based on the room, not the ixupi itself. There were three instances in which there were two ixupi in a room, and the music did not change when I was closer to one than the other. The rooms were the main hall (water-crystal), animals (metal-tar), and the undersea room (sand-crystal).

  • @Teri92892 Dude same, but i don't think it was ever the actual monsters that were scary. Just hearing that music start playing and knowing one wrong click could have something popping out at and attacking you was what did it.

  • They look cartoonish and cheesy now, but these things scared the shit outta me when I was a kid playing this on my Windows 98 machine...

  • I love atmosphere when you encounter Ash Ixupi. I wish they make Ixupi far more compteteive opponents. They should have some attack range. And time of escape supposed to be short.

  • @Yesguy100 Lightning.

  • @Yesguy100 Static eletricity. I'm sure thats been around forever.

  • Oh god. Whenever I heard this music, my stomach would drop and I would run in the other direction.

  • I always had to wonder about the three Ixupi that managed to escape... and whether or not anyone in the inevitable police investigation afterwards opened a jar.

  • @rawissphinx YOU TELL ME THIS AFTER I START PLAYING THE VIDEO?!?! *I want my mummy....*

  • This is going to give me a mental break down, I swear. I could handle the Ixupi individually but all of them together scares me to bits...
