This is a great old analog chorus that can be found very cheap! It has the coveted MN3007 BBD chip, found in the Boss CE-2, et al. Just noodling around while messing with the knobs to show some various chorus tones.

The following gear was used:
Warmoth Tele
Budda SD30
Boss CS-2
Boss DD-2
DOD FX60
Recorded with Zoom H2

  • I just picked up an old DOD FX-60. I really like it. I probably paid a bit too much ($40), but I love the tone- and it has the battery cover! I like it better than both my MIJ Boss CE-2 and my reissue Ibanez CS-9.

Next I want to try and find a DOD FX-65 and see how they compare. I've been impressed by the YouTube videos of the FX-65. I'm going to try and find one in the $20 range.

    I love bargain pedals.

  • @Hoverfinger Nice, it's well worth $40 in good condition! Both the FX-60&65 are top notch chorus pedals.:)

  • A friend gave me one recently that he found in a drawer in his garage. I cleaned up the solder joints, contacts and replaced the switch and it's one of my favorite pedals now. It gets very close to the Landau chorus'd sound you hear on his recent live stuff when mixed with some OD. I really love it! Definitely a sleeper.

  • @duaneharlick It's such a nice chorus...really a steal at what they go for. I'd like to pick up another!

  • @LandonInFlorida Oh yeah, they're definitely worth $40 to me easily!

  • @Hoverfinger

You didn't overpay @ 40. This pedal is worth every damn bit of $40 and that's about what they sell for on ebay.. If more people knew about them, they'd sell for $100. I had one when I was younger, right about the time effects processors were coming out. Chased and chased and chased every dragon imaginable trying to recapture that Fx60 tone in digital. Finally just went back to it.

  • I have one i got for free, but the on off switch is missing. I am going to rewire it with a dpdt switch. Probably might have to rehouse it in order to make it fit.

Thanks for the video it helped give me the will to go through this.
