I like to carry an empty duffle bag to carry things home from my trip. Once in a while if over packed, the extra bag came in handy avoid extra weight charges at the airline counter. I also use some spacesaver bags, and ROLL many items. I do put socks into the inside of the shoes like you suggest. Good video.

@BetterLuggage Thanks for the comment, it is certainly easy to come home with more then you left with on your vaca! A non framed duffel that will lay flat in your bag that can be used on your travels is another great packing point.

I don't understand the videos that tell you to pack things in a bag or some other device. This only takes up room; it doesn't save room. Also, why take soap and shampoo. Are they so expensive, you can't buy or borrow them where you are going. I'm not taking them or my shaving cream. Tooth brush and tooth paste and underarm deodorant is all I am packing for hygiene.
