ICC Tree Removal

Less than five minute video. The ending shows what happens when the workers go home. ICC tree removal near Shady Grove Road to prepare for overpass construction. This $3 billion twelve mile toll road is a huge waste of taxpayer money. Maryland all ready has a huge deficit. This will not help. It will drain money from other transportation projects and existing bridges. We will pay for it for years.

There are pros and cons to this. I-270 to PG County needs some alleviation of congestion desperately, but I don't know if this is the right time and place to construct a $3million overpass.

It's awfuly funny to see Montgomery County liberals complaining when the government clear cuts a bunch of trees in their backyard. What happened to our great government being a protector of the environment. I thought that was the job of government to protect the environment from the evil real estate developers. Well, this is big government at work. The same big government that funded the massive housing boom of the 2000-2007 era. Even today look at the new round of unnecessary building.
