This is a preview of a 10-minute documentary directed by Paul McNeill and produced by Peter Eliuk while attending the Vancouver Film School.
Siblings is a touching look inside the world of those who have grown up with a sibling who has a developmental disability. This film explores the many challenges people face as part of growing up with a mentally challenged sibling, as well as the added responsibility that was thrust upon them at a very early age. The interviewees testify that they once had feelings of neglect, anger and jealously toward their mentally challenged siblings but have grown to become more patient and understanding and to love and accept them. "...I will always be a part of them and they'll be a part of me."
