I found this on the web. I can't tell you why, but I LOVE the rock courses at the Rover dealerships! Funny...I know, but what can I say.

I got to give Land Rover Rocklin props for posting this on their site http://landrover.niello.com. I hope they don't mind me reposting here.

  • I went to the landrover dealership and took my jeep xj 4.5 lift on their track and they got pissed. Haha my jeep did it effortlessly in 2wd with no lockers the tracks are bs. I wouldn't ever buy a new land rover anyway but they are just stupid I could take a Honda accord over it

  • @StrainingDingelberry You should have gotten it on video. An Accord would not make it through the course. The Jeep would, but that's not really the point of the track, it's a demo and it does show some of the features and abilities of the Rover. Some people would never that they can drive up, down and sideways on grades that initially make you uncomfortable.

  • @StrainingDingelberry It also gives them an idea of how to drive a vehicle with TC on surfaces with less than perfect traction; that is not rushing an obstacle, not feathering the gas, but to apply even throttle and allow the system to work it out

  • Land Rover tracks are weak!! An awd car could go over that without a problem...

  • @07HUMM3R Most of the track yes, but there is a a spot they would not be able to navigate without a good run at it and it would mess up the car. This is something used in showing off brand new cars they don't want to bang up or get muddy. Sure it's well below the capabilities of the Land Rover, but I think you know what they're capable of in the real world and it's unmatched by any other stock vehicle. Rovers have command on and off the road.

  • @coverchenko That is sad to hear and those stories seem to come up way too much. It's true though, you can get a bad one and when you do you'll go broke trying to keep it on the road.

  • I'll stick with my F-150 3.5L V6 with 365hrp and 420 pounds of torque and twin turbos, it's called the Ecoboost and it is a monster ,')

  • @keepitwildtv I know what the track is for, but its pitiful. I mean you drove over a curb and through 3 inches of water..... The HUMMER tracks are much better, they actually show the capabilities of the vehicles, and they don't get banged up.

  • That guys not even wearing a seat belt WOW and to think how they promote saftey...

  • psh, thats the test track at a dealer? sory pal but if i wanted to dest drive it off road i'd need a lot more than that puny crap.
