I remember this song very well from when I was quite small, in the period from 1958-1960. And then I practically never heard it again. I assumed it was by Nat King Cole but of course couldn't find it by him, because actually this is Earl Grant.
Could I be remembering the version by Andy Williams? That one doesn't seem quite right either.
So the mystery remains, although thankfully YouTube provides access to the various possibilities.
How well I remember playing this repeatedly on the juke box where I ate my lunch in seventh grade. Always budgeted a quarter for 6 reps of House of Bamboo!
My dad played this cause i used to dance to it as a baby in the 70s.Pretty catchy ;)
