@08stroudml1 Well, what I've driven and owned makes my comment relevant to a discussion on BMW's current product philosophy. As you evidently don't even know how to spell Ferrari, a productive discussion is hardly on the cards here. I'll just say that the current 6 is NO sports car, the 1 is no dynamic class leader despite RWD, the current 5 plays second fiddle in the fun stakes to its Merc rival and the 7 is no longer the driver's choice in its class. X5/6M? 2.5 ton M-SUVs? Very core value.

@colin5577 all cars have changed from before - just look at Farrari FF, Porsche cayenne/panamera, turbo BMWs, X6/5M. economic/environmental/technol
ogy/markets/government - these are some of the main factors that is the reason behind change in ALL BRANDS - its called adapting, not abandoning values. Relative to competition? you are talking rubbish. BMW still and always will make class leading driver focused cars. End of debate.
seriously, nobody give's a shit how many cars you have driven

@08stroudml1 I'm guessing that you're 12, but when you can afford a BMW, and have driven a few of their cars - new AND old, come back to me with qualified comment. I've had a fair few of the new crop, and liked them all to a greater or lesser extent, but the Bangle era heralded a shift in priority at BMW, and not just in styling terms. Relative to the competition, current BMWs are less driver focused than their forebears. I'd happily debate this with you but you seem extraordinarily uninformed.

@colin5577 you are a moron. BMW is one of the select few brands who still keeps true to its values. the points you make are changes with times and technology you complete moron. all cars have developed what the fuck do you expect? moron.

@wop1989 Well, imo, although BMW`s "Unscripted" and "The Hire" commercial series are just brilliant, I really dislike the whole "Joy" thing, bad advertising. It`s much more than just about joy, therefore, joy is a shallow word, when talking car-wise. Also, it only advertises the new cars, not the affection to the brand itself as it is in the two commercial series I first mentioned and in lots of Mercedes commercials. BMW has lost it`s path somwhere.
This is how a car should be treated.
