Rachel is BY FAR one of greatest THREE YEAR OLD fillies EVER!!! I love Rach, and I say (besides Ruffian) she is the best three year old filly to ever walk the earth. I wish she kept her three year old form. But we still love her <3 She and Curlin are gonna put out a lil monster! Hahah.

Definitely still great. Will be ranked as one of the best fillies in my book. No one great has a perfect career. I love her, glad she got HOY honors, honored to see her win many races, she's just super filly :P

Also, PLEASE stop the hate comments saying "Zen better than Rachel" ok ok we'll never know since they've never ran. Can't we just love 2 great fillies without a racket?I know I do!

I miss this horse. I've been her fan for two years and never got such a thrill as when I watched her run. I could've leapt mountains when she grabbed Horse of the Year. I wish I knew why they retired her. She had so much yet to give.

How was Borel's ride sad in the Personal Ensign? He got burned earlier in the year by trying to rate (per trainer instructions) instead of letting Rachel run within herself. In the two races prior Team Rachel reversed tactics and simply let her run her usual race and it paid off. Borel's ride was sound from a tactical point of view and he cost Life at Ten precious ground. That she couldn't hold was a function of intrinsic distance limitations. There is a reason this was her only race at 10F

Thank You, Pixie!!! I adore this filly, she will always be #1 to me. Last year was spectacular, it stands alone. If any other filly were running like her this yr, it would be cons very good to even great. I'd like to add she has carried top wt. in all races. I also don't think mile 1/4 was ever her best distance. Other blog posts ment'd 2 HOTY 3yr old fillies, neither won any race their next year back. We could never expect her to come close to a repeat. She remains a Champion.
