Wow, judging from the BBC thing at the start, I'm guessing you taped this back when it was on. Not only do you deserve congratulations for that, but congratulations as well for not taping over it. And the quality is amazing when you think about it, too.

I've looked everywhere and can't find it. It's called 'We Love You' by Elkie Brooks. The BBC still havent released the 2nd series on DVD, the useless twats.

Loved this series back in the 80's. The 2 seasons were played ONCE with no repeats & I ended up missing it terribly, including the theme song! Thank you so much!

I tried searching for this Elkie Brooks track but didn't find it on iTunes or via Google. I do not know if it has a title.

As far as I know,this theme is not available anywhere as a CD etc.

The tune is present though on the DVD release of Series 1 of 'A Very Peculiar Practice' as a recurring 'sample' present on the menu screen for episode selection, so I often just play the DVD menu screen just to hear the tune!!!!!

I 've loved this song ever since first viewing episodes back in the 80's and its a real shame it has never been released on disc.......unless anyone out there knows differently????

i found the theme to 'sorry' which is the other classic from this great time in tv, but was missing hearing this one after so many years. thanks so much for posting it! :o)
