Dragonwrath Legendary Quest: Thyrinar - Through a Glass, Darkly - Warlock

Since I spent almost an hour trying to kill this dragon I'm writing some dwarf tips for all the warlocks around the world who are on the legendary staff quest line.

I ended up using affliction with drain life, Tarecgosa's buff isn't really enough to keep up with the damage of Thyrinar and his adds.

- Use devour magic to dispel the dragon.
- Keep the felhunter in follow but passive so it does not stuck in the ground trying to dispel the dragon's buff when it's out of range.
- Counter the Twilight Blast whenever you can.
- Soulburn + Teleport is useful to avoid the breath.
- Soul swap the adds and put the felhunter on them manually so that it tanks them.

Sometimes the felhunter just stops moving..(or probabily it's just my veery lazy Thomoon) soulburn summon when it happens... and if it happens repeatedly well... good luck xD

What kind of gear did you had at the moment you one-shotted this boss?

I have a average itemlevel of 371 and can't seem to down this boss in any way..

@mojambo213 I would almost suggest not using soul link for the fight. I didn't have to. The felhunter needs to be kept up so he can dispel, spell lock, and tank the adds, so actually soul link is a bad choice to have active.

Warlocks, take note: That fire breath the dragon does (not the tracking) is a SPELL that the felhunter can SPELL LOCK. This makes the fight easymode as you will then have 6 uninterrupted seconds of drain life face rape.  Before I used it I could not drop the boss below 20%. The one try I used it I spanked the boss and had full health and practically full mana.

dude, my pet keeps dieing simply because of the damage shared from soul link, how do i stop that
