SDPD Harassing Veteran Over Posting the American Flag

One of our wonderful resident veterans, Joseph Aldous (USAF), was trying to place up an American flag, like we've been doing this whole time, and the SDPD made sure that would not happen. This is one of the most shameful things I've EVER seen. This is our flag. This is the symbol of our once great nation, and the SDPD does not believe that this is covered under free speech.

What you don't see is our veteran walking over to the 4 feet of private property across the square to post up his flag. The officers tried to tell him he could not, but since he was on private property, he stated that if the owners of the property had a problem with the flag being there, he would gladly move it elsewhere.

You will want to turn up your volume for this. Also, I apologize for my shock over this contributing to me (holding the camera) not being able to keep my mouth shut. I'll try harder next time. WARNING - there is loud (poor) singing at the end of this video. We tend to sing when anything ridiculous, such as this, happens.

@williegotpwned the san diego "peacekeepers" have the ability to decide whether or not to disobey unlawful orders or to disobey carrying out unlawful arrests. they even have the capacity to NOT harass you.

and actually, the city council members that voted on this in 2007 are people i never voted for. the people currently sitting on city council i would not vote for again. i did not start voting in california until 2008, after i moved out here from NY in 2005. so technically, no i didn't. ;) lol

This is disgusting. As a former USAF Vet I daily see the SDPD (I live here)

responding and provoking the folks just trying to point out problems our

country needs to solve and in nearly every case, peacefully. THe last few days

have shown our police department here, while doing a good job in most cases

has approached the OSD protestors with overreaction. Sad.

Hmmm I bet if I try to post a flag RIGHT HERE where I'm not allowed to, people will be so mad that a cop is telling a soldier to take a flag down!!!!! So shameful! Tear! :'( We are so crazy and punk rock! Why don't you go post flags at your front doors???? I'm confused. Anarchy at it's worst. I'm done.
