@surfer53 You are another idiot who listens rumors rather than individuals. Kaye's last girl friend, for example, clearly states that Kaye denied being gay, also, depsite all the rumors otherwise, Vivian Leigh, in her memoirs clearly said Lawrence Olivier and Danny Kaye, never got involved. She said she never saw to prove that.
Now, you, and your kind, of course know everything without even having a decent conversation with such people once. Gossipping is worse than being gay, if he was gay.

His mannerisms remind me of Harpo Marx.

@hanscombe72 He was really conducting. never trained but had such a love for 'classical' music, plus he was a very good singer, he picked it up over the years. A very, very smart and talented man. pity the 'stars' of today are not as talented.

I would like to ask as someone knowing nothing about music. Is he really conducting the orchestra or just waving the baton and the orchestra working on their own through sheer knowledge of the piece they are playing? I watched this as a kid as a huge fan of Danny Kaye. I am a teacher now and I feel compelled to show this to my kids. They need to know who this man was and the sheer joy he is feeling at the music!
A rare rare, special man!
