This is a basic mothermold support shell for a silicone rubber mold made using white hydrocal reinforced with fiberglass matte. This is a good method for creating thin, lightweight, and durable support shells. When using this method over a brush-on urethane mold make sure a release of wax is applied to the rubber surface. For more information on the skin technique check out our DVD.

  • I USED THE SINK :/

  • @omex2005 My condolences...

  • Have you ever dropped a hard mother mold and had it shatter on the floor, forcing you to do it over again? That would seriously bite...

  • @KewneRain That's why we add the fiberglass matte!

  • What did you do to Han Solo ?

  • @Fuzzy192006 I made a deal with the empire that will keep cloud city safe for a long time.
