  • As a self called expert on the turtle toyline I can tell you what you have is a second issue box of the first blimp. The first box was shorter in length and therefore much bulkier. The Cheapskate was also featured with the Knucklehead and Turtle Trooper toys of that year. When the box was changed to be slimmer to ship and store easier the Cheapskate was removed in favor of the Turtle Party Wagon. Also since the contents were flattened and only held by cardboard supports they were easily damaged

  • @trans8010 Thanks for the information! I never knew that.

  • 1:25 that's what she said

  • @DarkAvatar1313 LOL I was thinking the same thing:)

  • is the music a medley of covers from turtles in time?

    do you have the source?

  • Yes, I can't remember where I got it.

  • Ahh my favorite toy as a child. Thanks for posting!

  • @robdsires ..did you tell this guy to OPEN it?! It would be worth a fraction of its value if he were to open it. Yes, Playmates may be coming out with a re-release of this toy but the re-release will never have the collector value of the original one. The turtle van is a perfect example. The re-release has a similar box when compared to the original, but there are obvious differences (i.e. the year of production). Sellers on ebay can't even give the re-issue away, unlike the valuable original.

  • I use to have the Turtle Blimp... problem is I kept putting holes in the balloon.

  • I love the Blimp. have it in Loose complete 30$ for it and I'm glad

I used to dream so much about this toy during my youth times but now I get it ;)

I understand as a collector fs item you'll not open it , I'll do the same. box is awesome keep it like this even it's sad. watch my last video to see some blimp stopmotion ;)

  • @trans8010 mainly by punctures, rips on the front or back of the boxes and or creases on the sides where they were crunched so to find a box in this condition is RARE! If you intend to open it I would stay away from it and just buy another as what you have is a great display piece. One that would only increase in value as the Blimp was only released for a year and a half. A first issue box is more rare but yours is still rare nonetheless.
