After Lord of the Rings and Gladiator, I can honestly say Avatar is a fantastic movie. If you haven't watched it, watch it. It's worth your time.

you have been learned that a guy never cries?
the " guys " who say that are a bunch of fucking pussy's!
a man cries from time to timen it's just that if he cries every day he's a douche...

you are correct, the story line is unoriginal and a bit dry to some, but the way Cameron presents this story is beyond stunning. it's not the story that impresses people, it's the beauty and detail of the movie itself; the fauna, the people, the language, the music. there was so much thought put into the visual and sound aspects that it really overrides the dry story line

@jorish33 There is a difference there.I saw movies wich were like others.I dont say that the war was a cliche.i say that it is exactlly like Pocahontas. The thing people look for,the difference between the bad ones and the good ones, the nature wich helps the good ones in both movies and so on.The only new think is the avatar wich is good but in my opinion it could have been more original.

@ilikeEnrique dude then no movie is original example: saving private ryan is a like a bridge to far because its a war movie... it's about the same was, same countrys etc...

@LeDorkGroceries I think the plot was a simple take on a classic story line, no shame there. But Cameron started with a classic theme and created an amazing world for it to take place in. And just think what must have happened after the movie ended.
Picture Jake looking up at those multiple moons, a week, a month, after when the movie ended - born and raised on Earth, human, now alive in the body of an alien species on an alien planet, with no way back...mind-blowing!
Im addicted to everything Avatar. I've never felt THIS strong about a movie. I've seen it 6 times in the movie theater, and for some reason, the 6th veiwing of the movie was the best one, right behind the first time i saw the movie. Insane. I just don't get tired of it. And the soundtrack is massive. Specially this song. So much parts ive me shivers.
